Indeed, it is WSL 'playing' a part in the movie; Bruce's deadly fingers.
He plays 'himself' as Bruce Lee's teacher.


The story is about a secret book that Bruce Lee left after he died about secret finger techniques. The good guys and the bad guys are after the book. Can't remember if the bad guys have it and the good guys are trying to get it off them or both parties are trying to find it, but they cross paths quite often with 70's style Kung Fu choreography. Anyway, the good guy's get the book, but there is one finger style missing. Turns out that this big secret is the thumb as used in the first part of Chum Kiu. The hero Bruce Le goes to see WSL and tries to impress him by sticking his finger through a can of Tsin Tao beer. He looks at WSL as if to "impressive... yeah!". WSL just smiles at him. He tries a few more tricks to impress WSL (I think including busting an arm off the dummy), then WSL decides to fight him. Being WSL the fight is over pretty quickly with WSL stopping with his Chum Kiu thumb threatening our hero's eye. Our hero then looks at his own thumb with revelation and disbelief, like he has discovered some secret world destroying weapon. He then thanks WSL and departs. After beating up a few more bad guys he finally meets the head of the bad guys. Of course they look at each other with hatred (good close ups of fierce looking eyes), and then battle commences. Naturally our hero doesn't use the new secret thumb technique, but decides to go through all his other fingers first one by one being beaten bad the bad guy every time. Then, at last, lying on the floor it suddenly dawns on him that he has a thumb left that he hasn't used - the secret world destroying thumb technique. He looks closely at his thumb (great camera close up of this) as though it is something alien to him that he is scared of. He then jumps up suddenly regenerated as they do in old Kung Fu films, and attacks the bad guy. Within seconds he has won, his thumb going directly in the other guy's right eye. With a dubbed "plop" his eyeball pops out and hits the floor. The good guy's have won (as usual).
