Hello,
Long time since I posted last :-)

Can anyone direct me to a resource where I can get some Ching Jong plans?

Thank you

theres a spannish CLF site that has the plans. I dont have the address now, but if you search this forum you should find the info.

We used it, and the dummies came out very nice. I changed one slightly to accomodate taller people, but so far, my dad (he does carpentry as a hobby) made me 4 already. The coolest thing about making it yourself (or having a dad who can make it), is the cost. For the price of 1 dummy, I could make a couple.

If you still cant find the link, pm me with your email, and I will mail you the plans we used

You can buy them. I paid around $750 including shipping for mine and had it slightly customized. You can get it cheaper for the standard.

Fair enough ... my dad didnt charge me to make it, I only paid for the wood. He is a skilled carpenter, and because thats his hobby, he has all the equipment. We used laminated wood for the trunk, and 'meranti' (not sure if thats the right engligh word tho) wood for the arms. I think they came out ok.

I saw an imported 'southern shaolin' (Hung Ga) dummy at a local chinese shop, and the quality/price ratio really scared me

I have translated the spanish plans to english and will be happy to share them with you. I will also send you pictures of the step by step process that I have been doing if you would like. I have desinged a steel stand with two wheels in the back so that it can be easily moved around when tilted backwards. Drop me an email at kukulcan@insightbb.com. I will send you all I got and help you out with your questions, because I was in your shoes at the beginning of the year when I started to make mine!
