Hello all.
apologize in advance if this sort of post isn't appreciated in this forum. I've recently moved near Baltimore and I'm looking for a good place to train in the area. Ideally, I'm looking for traditional school, that offers sparring as well, but would appreciate any school with a good rep. Anyone know of any good places in the area?

i know an awesome school but but its not in baltimore and depending on where in baltimore you live it might be too far from you. its like a 30-40 minute drive from baltimore (i think). check out the site and then map quest the address to figure out how long of a drive it is. if you can make the drive it will be well worth it.

This is also a great school the owner is Sifu Derrick Jonson.

Having lived in baltimore for 4 years before moving back to texas, I can tell you that you don't want to be traveling south to the Silver Spring-DC metro area on a daily basis. on the weekends it's fine, but during the week: traffic is killer.
Even driving down to Columbia can be a killer.
Personally, I recommend starting with any of the following:

Hey guys,
thanks for the info, I really appreciate it and am in the process of checking out all the sites, lots to go through!
Pork Chop, have you trained at the Tian Shan Pai places? I like their curriculum. Although I'm not much into lineages and all, but I heard a lot of controversy surrounding those schools. Not trying to start a lineage war, but was just wondering if you had first hand experience. Thanks again

Hey fellas just a reminder sunday the 20th is the wong tourney in DC, all the schools that have been mentioned will be there incudung my self.
If I were you that's where I'd be this way you can see all the schools in action and talk to everyone there.
That's the best way to find a good school if you don't want to waste your time making appointments and running around and what not.
