I learned some Water Boxing back in the day. I still base my defense off of it. Cool concepts.

Go to Emptyflower.com, and look for Drake/Swmngdragon He is a senior of Wai Lun Choi, the style's current standard bearer.

You can also find him here, along with a lot of other water boxers

Our Forum sponsors (http://www.martialartsmart.net) carry a DVD series on Water Boxing by Master Helen Liang. Here's part one (http://www.martialartsmart.net/tclh001.html) and part two (http://www.martialartsmart.net/dvdlh001b.html). Liu He Ba Fa : Water Style Boxing - Part 1 is one of MartialArtsMart's most popular selling DVDs of all.

Also, check out our cover story about Master Helen Liang (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=353).

That is because the white silk outfit she is wearing is ever so slightly see thru, and she isn't wearing any undies.

Water boxing is a fairly generic term for any one of three or four systems of internal boxing.

1. Liu He Ba Fa or Omei Water Style
2. Taoist Water Boxing
3. Li style Taijiquan
4. Water style Baguazhang

The water principle is common to taoist/internal arts. Their appears to be resources in N. America for 1 and 4. 3 is taught in China, and perhaps Singapore. 2 is rare, even in China. With some effort and good luck, hopefully you will find your answer. If you're not into traveling, try to find the best locally available instruction and explore particulars later on.

Thanks Gene for the article, you saved me the time to search for it.

I was fortunate enough to meet with Helen at the orlando kung fu show a few years back. She is an amazing girl and great talent. She and my qigong teacher Yen chu Feng share the same medical qigong views.

We have a large DVD project in the works from Master Helen Liang and her father, Grandmaster Liang Shou-yu. Hopefully it will be ready by the holidays. Keep your eyes out for it.
