Actually Southern Mantis is very good. Especially Juk Lum (Bamboo Forest), Mantis shown here. One of the most famous "Tong" practice it. They are no joke.

That is a version of Jook Lum...isnt a joke and isnt wing chun- appraently the sifu studied with Poo Yee.
The mantis folks have their own squabbles.... about who really studied how much from whom.
Gin Foon Mak in Minneapolis is a premier Jook Lum sifu in the US---though he is geeting up there in years.He studied with Lung Sam (sp?)for a long time. On Mak sifu's site ther used to be a brief video of Lung Sum and Mak sifu playing with each other.

Kwangsai Jook Lum Gee Tong Long Pai is a Hakka style. They have "similarities" to WC as do other Hakka styles.

You know your stuff Joy. Those guys fight for real and would give many WC people a hard time. They even have a form of chi sau and simultaneous blocks/strikes. That why many Tong train in JLM.
