Has any of the very learned people out there got any info on the tripodial or plum flower posts. I have seen pictures of them but cannot find any info on arrangement, distance, construction etc. Looks like originally from shaolin or maybe part of a tai chi set. Iv searched for hours and come up with nothing.
There is ref to a dvd on WC archive, but seems to lead to a dead end.
Cheers

This seems to be a pretty rare practise - indeed I've only ever seen one magazine article on it, by Ian Protheroe (www.wingchun-kungfu.com.au). The article had some photos of him using the dummy, but nothing much on the practice, how to make a dummy, or similar.
You might be able to contact him via his website and get some more info that way.

Leung Ting has some info on these in 'Roots and Branches'.
Gary Lam has them set up out at his place. Very fun to play with.
