That was pretty cool! I'd heard whispers about Cung Le doing mma before, but I was out of the loop. awesome fight, though. I'll have to send it to my dad before it gets taken down like most other mma fights :D

You know, the funny thing about that fight is how even the announcers underestimated Cung Le. They considered San Da to be an inferior venue. Cung Le gave them a good shock.

was that like a pride match where they agree nto to grab each other?

It was a UFC match. Grappling is allowed. Cung Le kept his distance with those hard kicks.

Cung Le's second MMA fight, another victory:cool: . He was good on the ground though his Brazilian jujistu wasn't top quality, he seems VERY experienced.

Here's the old thread on CA's first MMA where Altman and Le fought (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=40708). I also penned an article on it: Strikeforce: Shamrock vs. Gracie - Cung Le’s MMA Debut (06 July/August (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=660)).

that just looks like thai boxing to me
that looks nothing like thai boxing
just coz someone throws a couple lead-leg leg-kicks and a high rear leg round kick or two doesn't make it thai boxing.
