sifu wang chien is the elderly gentleman that run this club. According to the students, it is just a martial art club that people come and exercise. the club is really lay back. but, he got real skills. Jake (three harmony) posted some video which I haven't checked out. but, here's the link, if you are interested to investigate further.

Sifu Mark Houghton is the guy that is actually running the school day-to-day. According to one student, you can study for a very "affordable price" provided that you are willing to "suffer" for the art.

there is always king mui village in the guangdong province. teaches Choy Li Fut. But you would probably be bettter off learning cantonese if you are going there or hong kong. if you are studying mandarin i would go to taiwan. downside is that it is much more expensive to live in taiwan than china.

there are plenty of schools in Hong kong. you can go look for CLF with Master Joe Kwong (info at leekoonhungkungfu.com) or try Dai Shing Pek gwar with Chow Kueng http://www.ck-kungfu.com

There's plenty of traditional kung fu schools in all of the places you've listed. I think it is pretty unlikely that you will be refused tuition if you are a foreigner. It's a pretty well worn road now, you're not likely to be a pioneer. One thing I've seen, and I'm not sure how common the practice is, is a "local" and "non-local" tuition rate.

It's not that great big a deal really. Cities like Venice charge tourist rates for the vaporetto, etc.

PM "K. Brazier" here at KFM about how to meet his Shifu, Shi Zheng Zhong. I think you'd mostly be taught by his senior students unless you hung around a while but I understand that the senior guys there are rather good.
