Social scene? What's that?
You mean bars? Bars in the states pretty much sukkass.
If they have music they play it way too loud to hold a conversation.
The girls that go almost never actually want to talk with anyone & at dance clubs they'll really only dance with a particular type of guy.
Going out is even less fun when you can't drink coz if you do it'll mix with your medication and kill you on the spot.

I guess a bookstore would be an option but I've never tried to start a conversation in a book store before, except with the checkout girl.
Had some success with a recent youth ministry through church but otherwise I don't know where else I'm supposed to meet these girls of which you speak.

Meetups.com is another avenue I'm looking at- they have get togethers for people in a particular area that share a common hobby- like languages, movies, cooking, dining, etc.

i don't mind going out of country for a girl coz i haven't really dated too many girls from this country to begin with.
