Hello,

I will be moving my family to Georgia the end of this coming week. I will be living in a small town called Molena which is in the Griffin\Thomaston area. As far as I know there is no Wing Chun in this area. I am looking for anyone who may be interested in training.

I have accepted a job with IBM on the Northern side of Atlanta so I will be in the city working during the week. However, depending on how difficult the commute is I am also considering taking a position as a Correctional Officer in Jackson. Even though it is less money the commute is shorter and I can work off hours.

Either way though, I would be interested in getting together with anyone in the area who is interested in Wing Chun or Pekiti Tirsia. I will tell you up front that I am still recovering from shoulder surgery on my right arm so I am not 100% yet, not that my 100% is anything to brag about :D

Anyone interested in getting together feel free to contact me either via PM or email.

Not sure of the exact distance, but you might want to check out Sifu Francis Fong. He's in Atlanta or just outside (Norcross).

Hello,

Thank you for the sugestion of Sifu Fong. My Sifu speaks very hihgly of him and I most likely will look him up while I am down there. Training with him could work out if I stick with the job in Atlanta.

I was hoping to find a small group interested in training together a little closer to my home though as my job is about 70-80 miles from my house. If I get off at 5 and class started at 8 pm I would need to kill 3 hours and then drive home afterwards. Not undoable but I would prefer to drive home and work out a bit closer to home. There is a rec center in Thomaston which owuld allow a class to be held.

Still thanks as I thought Sifu Fong was further east and west towards Savannah. I will definitely look him up when I get to Atlanta.

Add Tommy Galloway to your list: he is an EBMAS Wing Tzun & Latosa Escrima Instructor. Very skilled and about as nice as they come. He lives and teaches in the Little Five Points area of town, which is more central to downtown.

I've met and trained with Francis Fong a few times at seminars here in Dallas and he is super nice, very skilled and very versatile. In fact, his versatility is more impressive to me than his Wing Chun, which I don't mean as an insult. (JKD, Kali, Submissions, etc...)

Check them both out!

Hello,

Thanks, I will try to look him up as well. A lot will depend on whether I accept a job in Atlanta or not. Right now I have been offered a position but it is in Northern Atlanta and is a bit further commute than I would like. I will be spending the next week looking for other positions.

Well, I will be heading out this afternoon so will be offline for the next two days or so.

Play nice while I'm gone :D

Hello,

Made it safely and will begin work next Monday. Will be looking into the schools mentioned. Either way I will be visiting Philly and NYC at least twice a year to continue my training with Sifu Chow and in the Pekiti Tirsia.

Anyone visiting the area is more than welcome to look me up. I live in Molean with is near Thomaston and Griffin. Come down and say hello.
