Hello, I study Longfist Praying Mantis and The Last form I was learning was Er Lu ChaChuan. Well Due to work schedule changes I can't make it to class to learn the rest of the form. I asked in the Mantis forum and they didn't know what I was talking about and then I was told it was a Chang Chuan form. Doh! Well Do any of you know it TRADITIONALLY that can help me out? It would be appreciated. A Video is cool written or pics would be better. I was help in my forum the video I seen was wushu. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Cha family fist, a traditional northern style
er lu could mean second routine or second generation cha fist. Cha Chuen is seen a lot in modern wu shu these days but is based on traditional cha system.

Am sure there are people far more learned than I to reply to your post, but thought as no one had yet answered I would say what little I know. Hope it is of some small help

Er Lu is indeed the second routine in the Chaquan system. There are 10 total in Chaquan. Then you have Hua, Pao, Hong, and Tan Tui for the the entire Chaquan system.

Brandon used to have a "newer" version on his website @ jiayo.com..

Can't find it now, but there should be videos out there somewhere on this.

Your Mantis teacher would give you a solid kick in the @ss if he/she knew you were trying to learn from video. Add to that the reason for doing so because you missed classes. Thats a big no no. ;)

Those cha forms were reposted over at jiayo recently (as in today I believe).

Gao Dasheng of Longfist Mantis teaches er lu chang quan as I recall.
I think he also published a book on it. I know he did a four road runing strike, xiao hu yen as well as Mantis hands.
