You buy one of those uniforms, walk into your school, withstand the beating and berating of your classmates, and your'e a better man for it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

In truth, demo uniforms to surprisingly well. Such is the martial arts market. Ninja uniforms (http://www.martialartsmart.net/16-01xxs.html) do even better. In fact, ninja uniforms are amazing sellers. You want to know what uniform doesn't do well? Guess (http://www.martialartsmart.net/1186b.html). As for the demos, all I can say is there are an awful lot of Rex Kwon Dos (http://www.martialartsmart.net/1133.html) out there. The biggest problem is that everyone wants them 'customized' (to be even more gaudy) but are only willing to pay for 'off the rack' rates. Thus, our stunning line of demo uniforms.

Dude. Margie looks so hawt in the "Guess" uniform. At first it looks really bad... then your eye goes down the leg... and DOWN. I havn't been this excited about bare ankles since I left the little Amish village Gene grew up in.

It's just the company pandering to the tastes of the tasteless. :p

Ninja costumes sell well because ninjas are cool. And ninjettes are even hotter. They can seduce you and then chop of your head. Coolness and hotness in my book.

SJ: Yes, that's Margie. An actually, the best part of those elite sport uniforms are the pants. They make great beachwear.

DJ: Pandering to the tasteless? This is the martial arts, not Blackwell's list. If only the economy of martial arts was such that we need only offer fine silk (http://www.martialartsmart.net/1118.html), but that would take a lot of the fun out of it for me. If western martial arts takes a hard look in the mirror, it sees a lot of Rexs. Deny Rex and you deny the truth. :p

j: Don't get me started on ninjas (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35945).

do you get those rex kwon do suits only in american flag, or can you get them in ... say... somehting punkish like the union jack?

LOL. Why am I not suprised that the Rex Kwon Do outfits do well.
Gene, didn't you say the bulk of your company's sales are TKD related goods?

GeneChing

I like the punk (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43523)idea, although I doubt it'd sell. But yes, our parent company, Tiger Claw (http://www.tigerclaw.com) sells a lot more to TKD than any other style. Just compare the amount of selection of TKD uniforms (http://www.martialartsmart.net/Uniforms_Tae_Kwon_Do.html) vs. Kung Fu uniforms (http://www.martialartsmart.net/Uniforms_Kung_Fu.html). The ironic thing is that there is so much variation in Kung Fu uniform styles, but there's very little variation in TKD styles since it's a more standardized sport. That's why we make up these deviant uniforms - to expand the market.

Next time we get Margina in the studio, we'll have to shoot here in the Rex (http://www.martialartsmart.net/1133.html). ;)

I saw a guy competing in a union jack kung fu suit a few years ago. Complete union jack front and back across torso with the diagonals heading off down the arms an legs. Well stylish!!! (not).
He probably hoped that the judges would be so impressed with the suit that they wouldn't notice his kung-fu; it didn't work, he got exactly the marks he deserved.

I have to be honest. A girl in a gi has ever really done it for me. Now maybe if they could market a spandex gi!:D

jgh: Rex Kwon Do was from Napolean Dynamite.

SJ: NO WAY! Ninjas kick ass on pirates.

at: By Union Jack kung fu suit, do you mean he actually had something like Chinese style like this (http://www.martialartsmart.net/Uniforms_Kung_Fu.html)?

RP: Glad you specified who was wearing the panties. I'm not sure everyone here believes you, but at least you made the effort. :p

BD: This is the closest we get to spandex gis (http://www.martialartsmart.net/whitsporfits.html), I'm afraid. Maybe someday...

As far as I could tell, yes. Though the pattern did make it hard to see the cut. Everyone else in the competition was in all-traditional satin KF and Taichi gear (black or white) except this joker.

well if it was between that or a confederate flag gi... that rex kwon do gi would certainly start to look almost reasonable. lol~

one thing about the V neck gi's, they can help to conceal your lack of chest hair to your opponent, thus depriving him of that psychological advantage.

Rex kwon Do down at the mojo hojo dojo in the strip mall right by your place.

that's where these haute coiture items can be found on a regular basis.

it's all beautiful though isn't it?

I coined the term "Nascar Gi" especially for these type items. :D
