if you really think that you tore it, you need to get an MRI to confirm that, so an orthopedist is the first step; if only pulled it, well, you're lucky to be in the UK - go find a good osteopath and get some treatment; or a good physio as well - someone with good manual therapy background

that's about it - if it's something that doesn't clear up on its own in a short time or if it's something that you can't manage on your own (e.g. - w/ RICE, gentle stretching, etc.), someone needs to take a look at it and give you an accurate assessment and a good treatment

It's England, you're not going to be able to see an orthopaedic surgeon or get an MRI for a subtotal hamstring tear. Rest, Ice and elevation for a day, take the week off training (do not "test" the leg), rest and elevate the leg when you're not doing anything, but keep walking on it. Then, walk more to gently build your leg strength, maybe see a remedial massage therapist, and start doing gentle stretches, building the time and intensity every day. You want to aim to be holding your stretches for 3-5 minutes, but initially a minute will be good. You'll be better than new in no time.
