I dunno if this is what he's looking for, but I would have him at least check out the Golden Mountain in Naperville. They have a really good Lolng FIst school. It is a fighting shool though, so I dunno. Also, you may want to check and see if MonkeySlap is currently teaching. He's back out in the burbs somewhere.

Monkey Slap is in Plainfeild, which is not too far from Joliet.

And for would-be fighters, there's a supposedly pretty-good gladiator school down in Joliet too, but you have to commit a felony to get in.
