So does anybody know what this set is?

What's your opinion on it??? (esp. the resident experts Lama Pai Sifu and Coach Ross....I am interested in your thoughts)

I am stuck at the gym, dial up :o no chance to watch it.... but the most likely answer is, can't say.... forms were never big in Wong Yan Lam and Wong Lam Hoi's time... subsequent generations developed sets, often each teacher having his own sets... I know, gasp, yeah, someone actually made up forms, they didnt' come down on tablets from Tian Chi ;)

Wow, just watched it and it does look familiar, though changed a bit for the demo.... looks like a version of Tit Lin Kyuhn (iron chain).... not complete and a few sections different....

oh i'm not a kung fu expert, sorry, but it seemed to me that the form had a particular character and flow, it jus didn't seem to fit to me personally. clearly, i would always say that hey, if it works for u, then who am i to tell u any different?

I had spoken to Vern before (he's listed on the page with the pictures). We were supposed to get together as he was going to be in NY for like a day, but it didn't happen. Seemed like a real nice guy and very dedicated to his training/art. I think I saw some video of them and thier stuff looked good. Other than that, I really couldn't say.

I agree. I find that their kicks (white crane) sometimes look a bit disconnected from the form, but that is how the white crane people do thier kicks. What I mean to say is that - that forms is pretty standard white crane and as per that style, those kicks are in there, just like he did them. We don't do our kicks like them. Not saying better or worse, I just prefer the lama method of kicking over the white crane method.

I enjoyed the fist set and I have no idea if the kicks were suppose to be in there or not. But his kicks were really done poorly. Was this a student or instructor doing the set?
