hey all,
spent some time meditation last year, mostly through help offered from a few zen books i found. Was good for a while, then i let life get in the way and stopped for a while.
Was my birthday recently, someone got me a weekend retreat away with the kadampa buddhist guys. I'm going anyhow as i want to check it out, just thought I'd ask opinions of people who know the territory a little better, i have had a look around the website and there isn't too much said about their practice methods (Im thinking maybe they dont want people turning up with 'full cups', or maybe its just not the best website). If anyone knows about these guys, or has had experience with them, your experience would be greatly appreciated. Im going to their place in derbyshire, uk. Thanks, Dan.
