It's coming from Rogue Pictures (Fearless, Unleashed). Here's the website (http://www.ballsofjustice.com/). Diedrich Bader, Maggie Q, James Hong, Christopher Walken. It's being advertised on AMC's popcorn bags, which is surely an expensive ad campaign. Shaolin Soccer meets Ping Pong?

and also Cary Tagawa, Jason Scott Lee, and the lovely Aisha Tyler. Looks to be as tongue-in-cheek as the likes of Dodgeball, Major League, Shaolin Soccer, etc. And the story is by the creators of Reno 911. The cast is pretty impressive for a spoof movie -- should be a load of fun!

"Well it was a sudden deathmatch."

Can't wait to see it.

There was a highly acclaimed movie from Japan in 2002 titled Ping Pong (http://www.beyondhollywood.com/reviews/pingpong.htm). I never saw that and this doesn't sound anything like it, but it's still interesting since Hollywood has been imitating Japanese cinema so much lately, especially in the horror genre.
