mixed martial arts cage event in Los Angeles (Kage Kombat) is looking for one or two kung fu
fighters for their next event on Oct 4. For some reason or other they are having trouble finding
any kung fu practitioners who want to fight. Anyone here interested or know of someone who
would be interested.

I read his profile and he said he'd fight anyone full contact to prove that his Pa Kua is no joke.
Does anyone know how long he has been learning Pa Kua?

I'm a student of his so I felt I needed to ask this question.
If you are new to the board this doesn't apply to you but if you are not you know how long theblacktaoist has been in Pa Kua Chang. He has been training with Pa Kua for 15 years are you happy now? Please refer to www.blacktaoist.com (http://www.blacktaoist.com). My question to you since you are full of suggestions...are you going to enter it?

Neptunesfall,I learned chinese fast wrestling from grandmaster B.p. chen back in 1980 when he use to teach it. I also study with master li tai liang when i have time. Also i have practice Japanese judo for many years before i learned chinese martial arts. As for Lineage i never ask any of my teachers who they teachers were,if they told me who they teachers were cool, if not fine. What was important to me was the skill of the individual teaching me, not dead past masters who can't help my ass in this life time. The wrestling i now teach my students have distinctive BAGUAZHANG characteristics. So the wrestling i teach is base on principles of Yin style BAGUAZHANG. peace

Catch a Prozac, Razak. It was an innocent suggestion. I was reading older posts and noticed Blacktaoist drops alot of know-how on Pa Kua, so I read his bio and it said how he's trained in almost all the chinese internals. I was wondering how long in just Pa Kua (although they all overflow into one another).
Hell no I'm not entering that full contact . I don't have those kind of skills yet. My teacher would laugh at the mere idea! I would love to see a Pa Kua guy who knew his wreck shop in a full contact event though. Wouldn't you?
I meant nothing ill by suggesting your teacher or asking about his years of learning Pa Kua, so I'm sorry if I insulted you in any way Mind Boxer.

The purses are around $500.00 and you have to win your division. If you are in NY, it wouldn't be worth your time, financially.
