Peace all,
I have a question, this goes out to those that say we concentrate on fighting too much. Now that we’ve been attacked, are you ready for the next phase? factually speaking, The people of the east are used too waking up with war in their front yard. Are you? Those that talk all this theory with Dreams of grander, Imaging that they know something. War is a psychology, And because of this truth a lot of people are going to die. Ask yourself, and don’t lie to yourself, are you ready for war on the streets of America? It could very well come to that. This is not a competition. If things get out of hand, will you be able to handle it? Have you been training or just “faking the funk” online?

Something to think about.

Peace
Maoshan.

Don’t be naive prepare yourselves

well said my brother!

thats why tournement fighting can be bad! as ones mindset is differnt from ring to street, still the ring gets rid of some of those jitters and can help with shaking legs from being nervous and frightened!

always have an offensive not defensive mindset!

I don't think anything can prepare you for war....martial arts training included...military training included. War is humankind's self-created worst nightmare.

It IS indeed the proving grounds, the end-all of whether I've trained for real. But at the same time, my gun is gonna be my first and foremost technique. If goes down that deep in the streets, it'll come to guns before hands. But I could step up my training a bit. I should also step to the cashier for that P7.

"...known amongst hoes for the bang bang,
known amongst foes for flows without no talking orangutan,
only gin and tang guzzled out a rusty tin can,
me and this mic is like yin and yang..."

That reminds me, I have to stock up on amo and for the life of me, I can not remember what happened to my gas mask. I haven't seen it since the Chicago democratic convention in '68. You make a good point and should be a wake up call to all who previously thought, "this could never happen in the US". Having lived in the middle east for a time, I became acutely aware how fast things can change and how fragile life is. No matter how hard we train, are we really ready for a sneak attack form a suicide bomber? One of my best friends, who spent two horrific years in Vietnam, used to always tease me that with all the training I do, I will be to sore and stiff to stop a real attack. It is certainly a time to stengthen ourselves. But not just our bodies, we need t o strengthen our commitment to what is important, strengthen our values, our faith, and our relationships to our brothers and neighbors. We can do this the same way we strengthen our kung fu. By throwing out all the "stuff" that is useless and wasteful a nd keeping and perfecting what is good and practical. Fourtunately, I don't have any of that stuff in my kung fu. ;)
Peace!

Peace

While it's true that the first line of defence will be the gun, according to one of the sayings of this time(if you believe)it says that "they will be melting the church bells for bullets".
This only a small part of what's been fortold.
also in this is the lack of food etc..
Our training, if done at all, will help to keep us up longer than the rest.
Time is short, use it wisely.

Peace maoshan

Hmm, no kidding, maybe we should be investing in gas masks and bullet-proof vests in preparation for a police state/martial law, if nothing else... not to mention survivor equipment. Any good websites or distributors for this kinda stuff?
