I ran into a gentleman that claims to be a 2 time US National Kung Fu Champion, his name is Steve Cotter.

I can't find any information on this championship. Can someone lead me in the right direction.

He's some info on Steve:

Thanks.

If you are interested in his credentials for kettlebells and conditioning, forget about his martial arts background.

Look to see what, if any, credentials he has in the field of sports science, strength and conditioning. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in that field along with certifications by recognized conditioning associations ( i.e. the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association- although I'm not sure what the equivalent organizations in the UK are).

Find out what organization he competed under, or what event he competed at. Every two bit organization out there claims to hold a national championship, weather it gains national participation or not.

Also, US champion of what Forms, weapons, point sparring, san shou, all around? and what year?

Steve Cotter is the real deal. If you're in doubt, go to one of his seminars. He's also a heck of a nice guy. :D
