After Ashida Kim sent a massive blast of 1.21 jiggawatts spiraling through the time rift, the wai lun something guy exploded and was forgotten.
He should have never shamed his family.

If you are referring to Wan Lai Sheng, he actually passed away well over ten years ago.

Is this the same infamous 1928 tournament with no rules and no weight classes, and where a number of people died in the ring? If so, it was probably good gongfu, but I wouldn't recommend it. True no holds barred fighting.

Well if you were 20 at the time of the tournament that makes you 99 now, thats a long time to still be around. Good luck in the search.

It's in our 2007 March/April issue (http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/magazine/article.php?article=693) - Ziranmen Kung Fu By Liu Deming. The article acknowledges that Wan is deceased.

Renowned for his fighting skill and combative nature, Master Wan is generally remembered as a hardened fighter, who travelled the length and breadth of the country to engage with other martial artist. p. 25.

NO one died in the 1928 tournament, just a bunch of injuries that made the gov't officials nervous so they stopped it, my bet is a lot of messed up hands and feet, like the early UFC's

It would have been great to be a fly on the wall that day :)
