To all you guys in Ohio, and all the others we met, a heartfelt thanks and congratulations on this weekends tournament. We had a great time. For those of you who missed it, start planning for next year in Canton. This is a great place to see different styles and share your stuff. For our Wu Tang cousins and uncles who didn't make the trip, a major raspberry :p to you all. You have no excuses and missed a great time. Special kudos to the students of and directly to An Tian Rong. What a nice group you are and what a great Sifu. And all the others, we learned a lot. Special thanks to Master Su. If any of his students check in, please pass them on. You guys were great and I loved learning the Big Bagua Saber stuff and your 8 mother palms workshop was fun. RAF, those video's are priceless. I hope you are preserving for permanent posterity. If you want some help putting them on DVD let me know. Best regards to Master Yang. You have a great group there. For all you others just reading this personal thanks, I hope you got a flavor of what you missed and will join us next year. All styles were well represented. Even (dare I say it) Wushu. The San Shou and the grappling divisions were ferocious. A great time was had by all..

Count,

Hey bro!!! IC that you enjoyed yourself at the tournament. It is really a great tournament they have out in Ohio and we of Wutan Alaska really wih we could have made it out there. We are already planning for next year, so expect to see us come in full force for the Bajiquan Division. I am glad to hear that the tournement went well this year and that everybody enjoyed. Hey Count send me an email and fill me in how well you did this year. RAF, congrats on another successful tournament.

You must eat bitter before you can taste sweet.

Count and to our visiting Kungfu brothers:

It was great hosting you guys. Your bagua forms were superb and next time please bring your baji and Chen classmates. The weather was beautiful today and I wish you could have stayed longer for a class or two.

I got a chance to watch your teacher, Jason Tsou, play bagua and interact with Master Su: You guys have real traditional material and it is performed well.

Ted Mancuso, Debbie Shane and Linda Derrigo were great and gave me an interesting baji vcd. Master Su's Chen application tape is very much worth viewing.

Actually we hope you can all come back next year.

We missed our Alaskan Kung Fu brothers and Yang Fukui was unable to make it. No ground fighting seminar.

Nick Gracecin and others did a great job judging and performing contemporary wushu. We appreciate all styles and hope many more can come next year.

Thanks Count. Really glad to trade notes and your teacher and kung fu brothers are great. Everyone loved the two man form to the 64 internal palms. Keep up the great work!

Other than the fire scare and the lack of judges for the internal divisions it was a great tournement :) We also need more Taiji stylists under 40! I'm tired of competing against myself :(

Brad, I thought that was you. We should have spent some time. You have the nicest teacher. Funny, I didn't notice a lack of judges in bagua. In fact I had five. I didn't know when to stop bowing and I was worn out before I began my form. Did you notice the fire started right after I did my form? I must have been really hot. ;) Anyway, the fresh air and break was a relief at the time.

RAF, The Baji and the Piqua I saw there was incredible. The piqua especially. When I see those guys from my group I am gonna rub it in what they missed. I wish they could have come along. Next year, I might enter in some Chen and some push hands too. Brad, do you think I could lie about my age and squeeze in under the under 40 group? I ain't afeared of you whipersnappers! :D

Guo Bao-Lo, Check your mail. I knew you weren't coming, you had a good excuse. But the ones who should have come and cancelled out...

You know who you are :
