There's a prominent yin/yang bagua school in Chinatown, Goulburn St I think.

I haven't visited them, but I'm told they're good. Mind you, yin/yang bagua is a bit different from the standard bagua, I'm told.

(This is meant to be Yiquan but the following statement sounds 'misguided'. Apart from the highly dubious claim to be the only successful internal martial art in battle, Yiquan was actually developed in the 1920s by Wang Xuangzhai).

"At around 900 years old Yi Quan is one of the oldest of the 'internal' martial arts, and the only internal art proven effective on the battlefield."

You could track down one of Erle Montaigue's instructors and learn both. Good martial bagua is rare anywhere, but especially in Australia.

Thanks for all the info guys, i'll definatly follow up on some of those links. As you have said finding a good baguazhang school is hard. I have read alot about it and am facinated by it. I think it would complement my wing chun well. I may have find a good taijiquan school first and carry on from there.
