I'm researching a paper on the history of kung fu in the US for a paper, and I've run into a brick wall in looking at two martial arts federations that were formed in the 1970s in NYC - the Eastern US Kung Fu Federation and the Chief Eastern Chinese Wushu Federation. The history that I'm working off of is a dissertation that was written in 1976 - at that point it says that the two organizations tried to unite, but that it didn't work out.
I tried googling it, and from the fact that Chief Eastern Chinese Wushu Fed recieves 0 hits, and there are several for Eastern US Kung Fu Fed, I'm assuming that EUSKFF outlasted the CECWF.
From lurking around this board I'm sure that there's someone that knows the answer out there - you would earn my eternal gratitude if you could tell me what became of them.
