check out BP Chan's classes

Most actions of men can be explained by observing a pack of dogs. Not wild dogs, just neighborhood dogs who all scurry under the fence on the same night and set off together to reclaim a glimmer of the glory their species possessed before domestication.

James Montalbano, (718)246-7069. Solid training, no politics.

Li Tai Liang (Flushing), (631) 669-0189. Superb skills, hands-on application training, language may be a factor.

These two in addition to the above.

Like wujidude state, Li tai liang should be good despite the language. Li is bascially a "big dog" in xing yi.

Could you guys elaborate as to why you recommend these teachers ? Is it from personal experience or it from second hand information?
Also what are their strengths ie combat oriented ?

Go learn from Master Li Tai in queens New york, His Hsing I boxing is best In New York, Also he teach alot of freefighting (freestyle) I teach san shou at his school on tuesday and now on sunday, so if you like to learn how to fight for real, Master Li Tai school is the place to be. hsing i is for real. don't just take my word come down to a class, and see for your self. I use to learn a little baguazhang from him, but now i change over to learn his hsing I boxing and san shou fighting. Also there is a lot of english sudents now in his school so what you don;t understand, they help you understand. But you will not be talking much anyway, but working hard, and practicing hard.

Hsing I class are tuesday 700pm to 900pm and sundays 200pm to 500pm

As for B.P. Chen he don't teach Hsing I boxing at william c. c. chen anymore. He just teach baguazhang yang and chen styles of tai chi, push hands and a lot of chi kung sets. on sundays from 900am to 200pm. I know this infor, because i still train under him. Also you will not learn to much, fighting, because most of the students that chen have now are not in to that, If fighting is what you looking for. peace
