Anyone have any info about this school as far as quality and legitimacy?
'Cause their website isn't working and I can't find anything about them elsewhere.

The EW instructor is in Mexico right now. Who knows when he'll be back. Some of his students still get together to practice though. I should be able to give you contact info for them if you want it. I've gone out to where they are supposedly practicing a few time but I haven't been able to meet with them yet. :o

What type of training are you looking for? I don't know Eastwind very well, but I know a number of schools around Austin.

I'm just browsing all the Chinese martial arts schools in Austin cause I plan on moving there, and I had seen that Eastwind taught Northern Shaolin animal styles, but I can't find any in depth info and just wanted to see if you guys knew anything.

Most people on this board would recommend John Wang. He teaches Shuai Chiao and sounds pretty hard core. Must like hitting the ground. I don't think he trains with mats, but that's just speculation. http://www.combatshuaichiao.com/acsca.html#wang (www.combatshuaichiao.com)

There is a Choy li fut instructor who posts on these boards.

And there is 7* mantis where I train and the only place I can speak about with any real authority. http://usakfa.com/
Everything else is mostly opinion and hearsay.

Those are the only three schools in Austin proper that I would consider. I know of others, so if you want some opinions and hearsay...

Let me know where you end up, I'd like to get your input about the school.

Yeah I'd heard about those schools and was really looking into the 7* mantis place.
Thanks for the info though I really appreciate it.

Oh and do you like training under Sifu Hughes?
And what is the training like?
