Why can't I find attackers that throw one slow punch and then let me work my magic on them?:(

I do like how he "cuts" the guys throat and then sneaks away. Nice that the victim doesn't thrash around or make those nasty sounds from the big fargin hole in his neck.:D

I'm not sure which is the more depressing option

1) He came up with this crap himself

or

2) if he honestly believes any of it

You know? Maybe ninjitsu isn't as "in" as kung-fu or Mixed Martial Arts right now, but Ashida Kim is certainly as well-respected and vital to the study of Japanese ninjitsu as any renowned Chinese Master is to kung-fu. He is of the same calibre as Grandmaster Sensei Chan Tai San, 10th Dan of Tai Shing Pek Kwar, for instance.

I have been practicing the kata Dante for nearly fifteen years, and it has been my blessing to have mastered every single movement. Whether or not the strikes are done in the combination or not (most likely, not), each strike is extremely powerful and disabling.

Many of you have the same movements in your Chinese katas; tiger claw rakes, joint locks, throws, and pressure-point strikes. Ashida Kim, 8th Dan of ninjitsu, is probably far more experienced than any of you in a martial sense. You don't believe me? Watch his fight with the South African champion. He fought no holds barred matches before MMA was even on the scene, and emerged triumphant. I think Martial arts owes him a lot.

I am not associated with Ashida Kim much anymore, but from past alliances, when Shao-lin Ninjitsu and Kim's program worked in tandem, I can assure you he teaches quality material, with excellent skill.

I honestly don't think I can take any of you seriously if you can't see his apparent skill.

he's got some skill, its apparant if you can take a bear trap and not bleed. his fight wasnt too bad. but most of the video's come off as entertaining.

you have to remember these are form the late 70's and 80's when ninjitsu was all that sh*t and more.

answer the question *******

here is some stuff i found out about mr ashida-ilovehavinganorientalnamecositscool-kim

Kim, in response to controversy and critics, maintains what he calls a “Sh!t List” on his website which states:

“We have encountered not a few individuals who, by their bad behavior as well as shabby and rude treatment of others, warrant some attention. In the first book we did on Ninjitsu, we included a Mandamus, a warning, never to steal this knowledge, lest the thief incur the wrath of our astral spies and occult guards, which are everywhere. And how true that warning is. For you and I, my friends, are those spies and guards. And now is the time to deliver our wrath. Therefore, posted on this site, shall be the names of those who have offended our most noble Brotherhood and the reasons for their dishonor, and the action we shall ask you to take against them, so that all will know how they have earned this disfavor and the justification of the penalty they have incurred.” [6]

This list includes Wikipedia and its founder Jimbo Wales, Bullshido.net and owner Neal “Phrost” Fletcher, Paladin Press, Citadel Press, Amazon.com, and others whom Kim considers as antagonists. In the case of Wales and Fletcher, Kim has included personal information to assist people to take action against them.

In what Kim describes as an effort to quiet his critics and suppress their challenges, Kim has established rules for a “$10,000 Challenge” for those wishing to test his skill[7]. These rules place significant financial and legal demands on challengers, who are required to pay $10,000 as well as post a $25,000 bond and cover all expenses of the event. In one documented instance, Kim refused to take on a challenger who put up money in compliance with the challenge conditions.[8]

That dante kata had me pizzing myself. omg, tea nearly shot out my nose when he started screaming.

as for the trap thing, that's bullscat totally. do it with a bear trap and we'll see. that #4 trap is for small boned animals and it's toothless. It's a flatjaw trap in other words and it won't break your fingers because it's designed not to...you know, incase you screw up while you're setting in it.

thanks for the larf! those were pretty funny.

The guy in the dante kata video looks like some 1970s porn actor in a karate gi. Got that groovy haircut with the cheesy mustache.

I watched that video again and still can't stop laughing. It is definately one of the funny martial arts related clips out there.

Oh, you guys must be having the time of your life laughing at the expense of Ashida Kim and ninjitsu as a whole. You're so wrapped up in your Chinese-fever that you've become racist against the Japanese as a whole, ripping on kara-te, ninpo, and ninjutsu. It's despicable. Coming from a Japanese heritage, I find your scorn and ridicule particularly disgusting, and I am considering notifying Ashida Kim that you guys ought to be appended to the ****List.

I'll refrain from doing so, but I want apologies for what was said. It was completely uncalled for.

I would never rip into the finest of the finest in the Chinese world. Imagine me calling Grandmaster Sensei Chan Tai San a fraud, or perhaps Yip Man. I could have a field day digging up dirt against any of these fine individuals.

My loyalties to my Grandmaster Sensei's do not demand that I **** on others!

What a fine morality is being show here, on this day.

I weep for the future.

P.S. Ashida Kim has instructed special forces that are right now fighting the war in Iraq. Attn: Ashida Kim is saving your ass, whether you like it or not!

Personally I have nothing against the japanese, karate or any other martial art for that matter, but dress Ron Jeremy up in a gi and have him scream and yell while doing spastic punches and kicks and you have the dante kata designed to "kill, cripple and maim". One of the 27 deady venom techiques of the Black Dragon Death Machine and person favorite of the Grand Poo Bah 25th Dan Dali Lama Ninja himself. OOOSSAAAA!!!!!

rascist against japanese ? because i happen to think one "american" is fraud and not teaching ninjutsu ? lol thats laughable
i also happen to dislike certain other styles and masters of chinese and other ancestry

he isnt instructing special forces
if he is show me proof
oh wait no its sooo secret that only u could know it and post it on a public forum:rolleyes:

by the way i have the same problems with japanese styles that i do with chinese tyles so i'm not rascist

lol
can't u see how, laughable he is ? LOL

u wanna attack chinese masters
fine
i dont train in their styles
but i'm sure they could put up a far better argument to support their position than u can
i'm not apologising for anything
send ur "astral spies" or "occult guards" after me
put me on the sh!t list see if i care lol
he already did the same to the founders of wikipedia and aparently they've gone missing now hahah

i agree. the demo isnt really bad.

some solid stuff in there. i like some of those techs.

but really, anyone can do that, you just need to learn it from someone who knows it.

just like any other thing in the whole entire world that people will ever do, someone knows it and they teach it to a student then the student knows it.

generally all humans are of the same disposition when it comes to learning things humans can do.
