Sung Chi Liang

I recently ran across a picture of the "Sword Dancer." It was taken back in 1896 I think. In San Francisco. The guy in the picture appears to be doing some sort of butterfly sword form. According to the narrative, the guy is believed to be someone called Sung Chi Liang or "Big Ox", a well-known martial arts practitioner of the time. It further states that he would perform these knife exhibitions while selling tit da jow.

Can anyone offer further information on this figure?
