Children from 5-12 $60 ????

I don't understand this...
If an adult is willing to pay $90 to see William Cheung, that's fine with me. He can choose what to pay for and he is able to filter out useful information.

I child of (average of 5- 12) 9 years old, cannot filter out that info. He probably just wants to see 'the master' or expects some kind of spectacle. Do you think they will really improve their techniques or 'way of thinking'?

IMHO children of this age should enter for free. You can suck their money out when they get older! I really dislike commercial stuff like this.....!

I can see your point. I also thought of it more in the sense that they don't want young kids there at all, and cannot justify just not letting them attend.

As you say, they cannot filter the info and a 3-hour seminar is just out the attention span of most 5 year olds by about 2:57. Kids are kids, just as it should be. I'm just not usre that this is the type of event for pre-teens.

So the fee serves as to disuade parents from bringing their kids. Paying for a sitter would be cheaper, and everyone can enjoy the event a little more without a lot of ankle-biters running around. ;)

Just a thought.

Peace,
Bill

Well, I noticed the post I originally replied on has completely changed.
At first there was:

"THE SEMINAR WILL COVER VARIOUS ASPECTS OF WING CHUN KUNG FU
ADULTS FEE: $ 90.00
CHILDREN 5-12 $60.00"

Probably, the author realized the point I was making as he has replied....
Have fun this day ok?

I totally agree with Dave P on the kids prices -
Although ive always thought seminars were a bit silly anyway...

Mind you im a guy who trains with no belts or hefty club fees, nor a trace of formality what so ever :D
