Why yes. Bat Kung-fu is a centerline style. The arms, much like in crane, imitate the workings of a wing. But since bats hover more often than fly, opening of the centerline is done with both hands moving away from the center, and striking with dragon claws. (Since bats do have claws)

Bats in general do not hover except for the larger species like the fruit bat. Contrarily they flap alot, and normally much more and faster than most birds of the same size.
