Former NFL wide receiver Johnnie Morton tested positive for elevated levels of the steroid epitestosterone before he fought in a mixed martial arts show on June 2. Morton refused to take a mandatory post-fight drug test, and it's likely that he'll be permanently banned from the sport.

It's also likely that he'd never want to fight again anyway, because he showed he has no business in mixed martial arts, getting knocked out 38 seconds into the first round by Bernard Ackah.

Morton, who had a reputation as a tough player and a good guy in his years with the Lions, Chiefs and 49ers, has now permanently tarnished his reputation, leading to the obvious question of what in the world was going on in his mind when he decided to try mixed martial arts. By cheating before the fight and getting his butt kicked in the fight, he has made a complete fool of himself.

If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times. Football is ineffective in a real fight. :p
