I am interested in studying chen taiji in NYC, but I don't have the $ to study with Ren Guangyi.
There is one other place that teaches it called "Six Harmony Martial Arts" that might be less expensive.
Anyone know anything about this school and teacher? -- http://www.sixharmony.com
Sifu is V.A. Thomas

I went by V.A. Thomas' school once, but never saw a class, can't help you there. I hear mixed things about Ren Guangyi.
I did see this school at world tai chi day, http://www.wutehtaiji.com/hm.html. Their chen style looked really good. Oh there is also a school from chinatown, I think. Sorry, I wish I could give you the info on that one, cause I am looking for it too. I remember they came down to this years world tai chi day with about 20 students. The masters who did demos were AWSOME. I do remember they wore sliver kung fu outfits, lol, but thats all I have on them. There is also a guy Adam Wallace, but I think he is a little expensive too. Well hope that helps, if you hear of a good place, let me know.

The master is teaching in Edison, NJ now. Yang Fukui
His senior students are the ones teaching in NYC incase you wanted to know.
I've only attended 2 classes, but I like it a lot, and he def. knows what he is doing (I go to the school in Edison).
I believe the prices are negotiable...but average price is two 2hour sessions per week for 3 months is $300.
