Imagine if GWB executed that guy Brown after Katrina.

The Democrats would have loved him for it.

a few years ago, I was told by friends from HK that Bak Fa Yao (White Flower Oil) is not the same, due to lower standards, it had unpure ingredients including solvents. Also Po Chai Yune is toxic as well.

Chinese politics 101 - it's call kill the rooster to warn the monkey. In this case, the monkeys are the irresponsible food and drug manufaturing companies. The message is simple - powerful government officials can not protect themselves let alone protecting you. Chinese needs to trade with all country if it were to move out of third world status. Much is at stake and bad apples are major obstacles. Killing one is actually pretty kind. If it was the old days, the whole family and relatives up to three generations on both sides of the one family will be all wiped out. So there's a HUGH improvement in human rights for yall. ;)

Good, the ChiComms got caught running fast and loose. Considering how polluted the place is I find it hard to believe the top echelon didn't know about it too.

let the executions continue until the entire prc government is gone.

then let cabbage farmers run the place for 50 years and see how it goes.

good. rule the people with fear. the crime rate is low in China. USA needs more of that. instead we pamper criminals, delay trials, call executions inhumane. while those murders obviously didnt give 2 sh*ts about being humane to the person they killed what about the murder, what about him. ever think about the people's family who he killed what about them, they should be more important.

In the USA the Chinese guy would have been sent to white collar prison. and then maybe let off in a couple years good behavior to run amok again.

The United States is the only first world country on the planet that retains the death penalty, yet we also bear the distinction of having the highest crime rate in the world. We also, ironically have the highest percentage of our citizens incarcerated.

So the above argument is not really supported by the facts.

The numbers pretty much speak for themselves:

Most Executions carried out in 2006

1. China (at least 1,010 but sources suggest the real tally is between 7,500 and 8,000)
2. Iran (177)
3. Pakistan (82)
4. Iraq (at least 65)
5. Sudan (at least 65)
6. United States (53)

Looks like we're in good company.
