When you practice a martial art you should first learn the move and after understand it.
A punch is not difficult to make but the technique that are inside make it strong or not.
I just want to say that Bruce Lee want to make the JDK efficient. He was thinking of what is good
for the fight and forget what is not necessary.
When you're fighting in street you're not thinking of what move you should use. This is too fast only you use the moves that garant you to take an advantage. I think it was the philosophy of the JDK. His practice is subject to critic but I wonder If there is a master of JDK elsewhere and
if he was using his technic against other style.
So we can get a discussion about the strengh of JDK
