I'm not going to make live links in this post because I'm not spamming or something - I just have a problem that others might be able to benefit from.
Problem:
I have an unusual problem, that I'm going to try to solve in an unusual way.
The problem is, in the martial arts niche, I have alot of great, one word dictionary term domains, and
domains that get a decent amount of traffic, but not enough time to develop them.
Details:
All of my attention and energy for the next well . . . Good while is going to go into
a project that I am working on at http://www.WudangQuan.Com . . . In fact, it's why I moved
to China (amongst other reasons).
The domain has some very strong backlinks, and once I unleash the content that I'm working
on developing, I think it has a strong potential to dominate the niche. Or at least keep
me busy, as a hobbyist. :)
Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, I have these other great
domains that really ought to be developed, but I just don't have the time or resources to
get into that:
http://www.Combative.Org (strong backlinks from Wikipedia generate a minimum of 50 or so hits a day)
http://www.Analects.org (backlinks from Wikipedia. Getting about 50/day also)
http://www.TaiChiJourney.Com (some aged backlinks from authority sites give this one alot of traffic)
http://www.SpiritualMartialArts.Com (ranked terribly on Google. Stays at the top of most relevant searches on Yahoo)
http://www.Vajrayana.US (Would be a great directory, forum, etc. for Tibetan Buddhism practioners in the US)
http://www.KungFuMovieDo.com (This was planned to be a review blog or forum of Martial arts movies and Wuxia. Could also be a martial arts parody site, or something like that)
http://www.WaterBoxing.Org (should be about Liu He Ba Fa I guess)
http://www.GoodTao.com /.net/.org/.info (could be alot of things. Lots of links to the .com from Chinese websites)
http://www.dynastyswords.com (swords?)
I am looking for some people to develop these domains. Here's what I'm offering:
- You keep 100% of the profits (minus hosting, etc.) for 1 year. Your own ads, or donation buttons, or whatever.
- After the expiration of 1 year, we can negotiate a very fair split (something like 70/30
in your favor) to continue managing the sites if both parties are interested, or an option to buy it out
- You source, develop content, develop links, and so on.
Just run it like a normal site, and you keep the money. I'm willing to be bound to one year,
contractually, but not more than that for obvious reasons. But, I have positive rep, and
I'm not interested in burning anybody, and would prefer to just run a profit share anyway.
Why:
First, I don't want to let the domains just sit, and secondly, because I need strong, themed inbound links to my main site, http://www.WudangQuan.com, and want to
run a banner or something on the other sites to get traffic to it when it's ready. It just
comes down to that, plain and simple.
That's the only thing I ask. I'll give you complete FTP access to the domains, and you can put whatever you want up, and I'm
not going to mess with any of it. I just want a well placed link back to WDQ.C, and maybe a banner or something.
So . . . I am looking for proposals on these. Keep it simple. What you want to do, what kind of software or content management
system you want to use, any relative experience or knowledge, etc. to jonathan@iamjonathan.com and if I decide that it seems
like a good idea, I'll give you the complete ftp access and forget about it.
