Greetings,

This product came out in the late 80's or early 90's by the people at IRONMAN magazine. They did some testing with the product and the result were that the chair really did strengthen the abdominal area. There was one undesirable effect the some of the test participants experienced and it was not foreseen. Some of the participants gained in their waistline..about an inch, and as a result some had to get new pants.

I think this product offers more stability than doing ab work on a swiss ball.

If you are intent on buying this product I suggest you shop around. I have seen it at a cheaper price.

A cheaper alternative might be to use Ab-originals and do leg and knee raises. For intensity you can use ankle weights.
