first, you need a place on the web where your pictures are posted. mine's on my website. then you put in the code that leads to it.

there's also an easier way to do this.

all you have to do is hit image at the bottom of one of your replies. you paste in the exact web address of the pic you want to post and kfo takes care of the coding for you.

the mistake i kept making was trying to link to a page instead of to the picture itself.

so in my file hierarchy, there's the main page, then a graphics folder, then the picture itself.

Take your photos to kinkos and have them scan them for you and put them on a cd/disk. Or buy a digital camera, those are fun. But I am guessing you do know Ralek, as you are of course a genius.

JWT, Photopoint doesn't allow you to link to pictures outside of their site. If you want that pic to work, you should find a free server that allows outside image linking. I know Angelfire does, but I'm not sure what others do. I do know that Geocities and Tripod don't allow it.

Still doesn't make any sense why Joshy-poo wouldn't be able to post pix, cuz it's just a basic twist on html and client/server architecture.

If it's a matter of digital pix, almost all high schools and colleges have scanners in or around their computer labs. These scanners are almost always avalable for student use, possibly with a slight cost to the student.

I shouldn't be suprised though cuz Joshy-poo always has an agenda, and truth ain't his strong point. I'm just not a huge fan of "inside jokes" and "playing tricks" on ignorant new users; so he's funny, but not THAT funny.

jwt .. . all you have to do is right click on the pic you want to post and select properties.

you will see url address. double click somewhere right after the http: this will highlight the whole url of the actual pic for you. right click on the highlighted pic and seclect copy.

all you have to do now is hit image on one of your replies. it will ask for the url. simply right click in the field and select paste.

(if you dont like right clicking ctrl c will copy any highlighted text and ctrl v will paste it. if you do it this way you will want to make sure not to click into the field when it asks for the url image though as it has to remain highlighted to auto erase the http: (you will already have http: copied from going to the pics properties))

Yeah? That's a common look in my photos too. That particular one was taken after a day of paintball in 90+ degree heat. So I'm a little burned, very bruised, and ridiculously tired. Still, I look a bit like I'm trying to work out pie in my head.

What part of Wales? I don't know. My family, in recent generations, is English rather than Welsh. The name, as you know, is Welsh though. My father's family is from London. My mother's is from the suburbs (Chertsea). I'm not sure how far back you'd have to go before you actually reached Wales in my family. But Dad and I have started doing some research in that area.

Apparently, I did have a great uncle who came to the States, obviously, long before my immediate family did. New York, if I recall correctly. Early 1900s would be about right, I guess.

ap Oweyn, as you probably already know, means 'of Owen.' So changing it to Owens makes a lot of sense. My family name is Bowen, the shortened version of ap Oweyn.

So maybe we are long, lost relatives at that. :)

LD, yep, the Governor and I are good friends. Just about every major Republican has been a client of mine over the years, and the Governor and I get along really well. He's one funny SOB. He and Watchman might have been separated at birth.

As far as sparring, I've pushed hands with allot of Hwang's students. Richard, Davy, Paul, are a few of them. If you are referring to who I sparred over at the CTKF Exchange it was a pretty young guy, like 19 or so, and I think his name was Paul as well. But I forget. It was nothing spectacular, and I don't think he had allot of experience, as he said he had never sparred before.
