I would like to announce the first ever visit to Brazil by GM Garrett Gee of the Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun family, taking place Sept 13th-19th.

This visit is due to the high level of interest in Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun in Brazil, and comes hot on the heels of GM Gee's first ever visit to Europe.

I would like to wish Sifu Gee all the very best in his trip to Brazil.

Well, Rickson has moved to California a long long time ago. He comes to Rio from time to time, but we never know when for certain.
Anyways, GM Gee proved to be a very open minded gentleman, and he was really interested in meeting my Luta-Livre ("Submission", "no-Gi") teacher, Alexandre Pequeno
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmcZ4mQHqyE) as well as Erik Vasquez, a former Vale Tudo fighter who's nowadays learning Wing Chun from one Sidai of mine. Unfortunately, our schedules were uncompatible, but next time I bet everything will work out fine.
But I'm thinking here... there's nothing like BJJ roll in HFYWC (ground fighting -> self defense; ground wrestling -> sport). If there was a roll, I believe GM Gee should go for it with GM Helio... All in all that wouldn't be a bad idea to have those true gentlemen introduced to one another. Let's see what happens next year.
