Hello, my name is slim shady

according to "myspace" I am 99 (but I am really older)

I live in NY (which explains much)

I sacrifice goats during a full moon the Baal

I really enjoy the goat sacrifices, but I think the ritual orgy afterwards is my real favorite

* religion - The Church of RonH. Everyone's invited, except people that $uck.

Can you spell 'use the d@mned caps function at the beginning of new sentences'? Are you familiar with 'proper spelling of words, not the texting shorthand of them'? Your posts are normally not long at all. And long posts still aren't an excuse for bad spelling, bad grammar or the improper use of a comma.

I forgot to mention the proper use on ending symbols, like the period. Given that I am british, your use of 'we', in the context of excluding me, is ridiculous. And I refuse to believe that even the british version of MW would say that is correct. Not with it actually being a properly functioning program.

I think it might be why he spells 'you' with just the letter 'u'.

Nothing regular anymore (see 'Daughter, Eleanor, 4 months old') - wing chun (multi lineage group - don't care for arguments - just train), MMA (not so often at all these days but was trained by pro-shooto guy in Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, JJ), kendo, aikido, aikijutus-based koryu (mostly internals - these last three are also very sporadic), TKD for kicks, a tiny touch of capoeira to keep myself guessing!

Enjoy MA of course, reading anything (esp factual, biographical), watching movies, spending time with my wife and baby, herb gardening on my balcony, non-MA specific training (swimming, running sprints and distance, cycling hard, weights, HIIT, bagwork), Halo 2 on XBox, learning Japanese software on DS.

If you're worried about saving 6 stupid seconds every time you post, your life is fu@ked up. You need to change something.

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made **** sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

I stuck around St. Petersberg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
What's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the Gods they made

I shouted out
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadors
Who get killed before they reached Bombay

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um baby, get down

Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!

Tell me baby, what's my name
Tell me honey, baby guess my name
Tell me baby, what's my name
I tell you one time, you're to blame

Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah

What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who

cool. yeah i have read some of r.a. slavatore's stuff. and the dragon lance books by weiss and hickman but that is all i have read from the D&D genre. you should read terry pratchett. that dude is a genius. i have been meaning to get in to robert jordan's WOT series but i heard the first 3 books were good and then from there it was slow and extrememly boring. so i have been putting it off. but yeah other than pratchett i like robert e. howard, tolkien, pullman, and a few others.

Jordan can get wordy at time. Describing surroundings, scenarios, etc. But a good read nevertheless. He created a new world, so that is expected I suppose.

Before tackling Jordan, give Terry Goodkind a shot. Sword of Truth series is amazing. Has a bit of a political poke to it too, which I enjoy.

I will have to take a look at Pretchett. I need a book to tie me over till the last installment of Sword of Truth Series comes out in Nov from Goodkind. :)

ive read his entire WOT series....two times.

I also have all of his Conan works, second only to Howard.

if you like jordan or howard check out michael moorc0ck for some nice sword and sorcery stuff.

pratchett's stuff is fantasy humor. He has created this entire universe that is utterly absurd. If you like the sort of humor that douglas adams has in his hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy series you will appreciate pratchett. the first two books are the light fantastic and the color of magic. they are a good introduction into the world but after that there is no order to the stories. they are all just random tales of the happeneings on discworld.

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made **** sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

I stuck around St. Petersberg
When I saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

I rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name, oh yeah
What's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah

I watched with glee
While your kings and queens
Fought for ten decades
For the Gods they made

I shouted out
"Who killed the Kennedys?"
When after all
It was you and me

Let me please introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
And I laid traps for troubadors
Who get killed before they reached Bombay

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, oh yeah, get down, baby

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, oh yeah
But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint

So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste, um yeah

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guessed my name, um yeah
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game, um baby, get down

Woo, who
Oh yeah, get on down
Oh yeah
Oh yeah!

Tell me baby, what's my name
Tell me honey, baby guess my name
Tell me baby, what's my name
I tell you one time, you're to blame

Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah

What's my name
Tell me, baby, what's my name
Tell me, sweetie, what's my name

Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Ooo, who, who
Oh, yeah

Sh!t, you stole my lyrics! People can say a lot of stuff about you Dave, but at least you have good musical taste!

Terry Pratchett is pretty d@mn funny. I do think that they're kind of 'read one - read them all' but they're so funny, if you've got time for light diversion(takes a day or two to read) they're spot-on.

Moor**** wrote some of the best fantasy fiction and some of the worst. The Elric, Stormbringer, Dorian Hawkmoon (forget the name of that series), Corum series etc are fine reads.

Spending time with the wife, reading (fantasy, history, manga, and whatever I happen to come upon.) indulging my culinary curiosity, excercising, martial arts, and trying to whittle down some RPG or another when I have the chance. Other than that, trying to spend what little free time I have in a vain attempt to piece together the sanity I lose every day at work.

I have to agree- Jordan and Pratchett are awesome. I'll have to check out Moorec0ck sometime. I think George R. R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series is good, but it can go overboard sometimes. I hardly think of myself as a prude, but I think Martin has to lay of the viagra... or cialis or whatever.

Agreed wholeheartedly on the post about Jordan being second only to Howard with the Conan books. Also agreed that he bogs himself down in the WoT series but he's still a h3ll of a writer. Goodkind is okay. Pratchett is very good but still not as funny as Douglas Adams - if you've never read Adams' Last Chance to See, it's excellent.

Just randomly picked up a book called the Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse by Rankin which has turned out to be a pretty pleasant read so far.

Sad day indeed. He is a great author. About as good as Tolkien in his creation of a new world. However, I kinda expected it. He has made several trip to John Hopkins in order to stave off this disease. Based on his blogs it leaves him drained.

He had also mentioned that all of the WOT is written down on paper. Guess if someone can decipher all of the different papers its written on and put it together. The books can be finished. As I understand it there are only 1 or 2 left in the series.

i couldn't read past the third book in WOT...boring as hell.

Pratchett's first several are generally all good. From there he is hit or miss. He got "Xanthitis" ;) I recommend "Small Gods" and "Feet of Clay".

I'm rereading Joel Rosengerg's Keeper's of the Hidden Ways series which is out of print I think but worth finding in a used book store.

and for god sakes, if anyone hasn't read the Paladin of Shadow's series by John Ringo...get thee to a bookstore now!!! The first, "Ghost" just came out in paperback. These books are effing awesome but you must have at least a slightly right lean politically.

Let's see, I started wrestling when I was 7, and have been doing that ever since. After college I decided to head over to China and see what was going on over there. Got a job in Xi'an and studied taijiquan and KF there for two years (when not working, of course). Also found the provincial wrestling team and worked out regularly with them while I was there. Met some nice folks there, including some Japanese teachers. They were so nice in fact that when my contract was up I headed over to Japan and got a job there. A few jobs actually. Was there off and on for about three years I guess. Practiced kendo, nihon kempo, and aikido while I was there. Also found a local wrestling club and worked out with them. Also ran into assorted other folks studying this and that and worked out with them when we had time. One guy was a WC guy, a few others were ninjutsu guys (got to jump into a practice with Hatsumi sensei once) some were K-1 fighters, some were judoka, all sorts of folks. Back in the States I've kept on wrestling (of course) and done a little of this and that as time and work allow. I've worked out and sparred with TKD, taekkyon, boxing, MMA, BJJ, WC, ninjutsu, American kempo, san shou, etc. whatever I could try my hand at. But wrestling is always my main thing.

We usually spend a week or two in Kyoto each year if we can, to visit family, and work takes me to Korea and China every now and again (but there's usually no time for 'training' on such trips).
