Found this on youtube while looking for random videos. Turns out it's a promo "pitch" for a now-cancelled project by Studio 4°C. Too bad too... While it has that "Look at me, I'm an artsy animated film!" look, it probably coulda been pretty good despite that. Studio 4°C (who also did Spriggan and Tekkon Kinkreet) has some pretty cool stuff, but unfortunately they couldn't get the funding to make this one happen. The "trailer" is pretty slick though.

Is it just me, or does the beat of the "Theme song" towards the end sound like "Groove Tonight" by Earth, Wind, and Fire?

it kinda bored me i can see why it didn;t get picked up. they should've had more action in the demo. hey if something like shoot'em got made off of an action animatic. anything is possible.

Yeah, the demo was pretty slow to get to the goods- the action didn't even really begin until about... 6 minutes into the preview? But who knows, if it was made into a full feature, they coulda brought more to it... as far as Shoot 'Em Up goes, my uncle REALLY wants to see that one... thinking about it sometime.
