she's not buk sing from tarm sarm side

her buk sing from ku yu jeung side, they specialise in northern shaolin, with buk sing influence

tarm sarm specialised in clf, with northern shaolin influence

sorry bra, it said bak sing CLF, but nothing about like what you just said.

thats interesting though, are you saying THAT school is more Buk Sil Lum than CLF?

well in my opinion yes

if u look at it its quite logical

ku yu jeung was a buk siu lam master, he wouldnt have changed his whole core system of kung fu , but he would incorporate the clf elements into it

so their core system would be buk siu lam but with some clf in it

tarm sarm side is reverse, his core system was clf, and added in buk siu lam elements

p.s no need to apologize frank

Maybe it is a set from their lineage it could be 4-level fist, but you are right it could just be a typo for siu ping kuen; however it doesn't look like any ping kuen I have ever seen in the various lines.

it actually looks like its missing some elements of CLF, especially in their opening.

but i see what the others are talking about with that school being buk siu lum doing clf, and does any buk sing lineage add in that kneeling elbow in the bow? thats a new one to me.

My Sifu calls the one he learned from Lun Chee "Sei Ping Kuen"

Its Sifu Wan's school, oh I didn't realize till I went to the actual youtube page.

here he is doing Ping Kuen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5Jmd6KDeZM

Here a spot he did on BBC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRgAjgn4ME4

from the spot I get the impression he has changed his stuff around quite a bit. He calls his CLF Fut Gar which of course I like...

Here's his website,
http://www.kungfuwan.com/

Actually the tech. are differnent again but the Ping Kuen is more similar to our Yat Mun Kuen in terms of footwork and layout than the one Frank posted yesterday(especially the footwork).

Can any one tell me about Yuen Tai? The reason i ask is because i have an old alter from my sifu who got it from his sifu. it lists the names going back to Jeong Yim. but i believe in chinese the name is Yuen Tai.

is Tai the character for heaven with the top taken off?

anyways, on that buk siu lum page the tree says yuen tai had something to do with tam sam.

anyone have any clues?

Here's his website,

cool site, thought I think theres a mistake. It claims he has students in South Africa. The only CLF thats in SA is Lee Koon Hung CLF. Been here since 1987.

i think he means he has SA ppl that train with him in HK

not students in SA teaching

No 'kau da kuen' in my lineage. My sigung changed many of the forms he learned in Hong Kong to better instruct and instill fighting concepts, and my sifu did the same.
