i know this is a reference to the hung mun......but can anyone clearly translate what it says into recognizable english.........babelfish scrambles my mind sometimes.

that whole thing was something they found on the posts or walls of the entrance of the jeong yim's school. it's all references Jeong Yim being in the Hung Mun and that his school was devoted to it. the 5 lakes refer to the 5 shaolin monks.....

**** my bad, i've always had the translation all along, just not the characters to go with it.......

the first line reads:

The big bird spreads its wings like an overturned hand

The Second is:

the scholar who excels so much that his name or fame will remain forever

the third reads:

Salutations to the brothers in the 5 lakes and four seas or four corners

the fourth reads:

the sun will shine brilliantly for generations

Yeah, thats it I guess, but you should know which 4 moves they are referring to. An interesting bit of Hung Sing trivia Id say!

I think that 5 lakes a 4 seas is a common way to refer to the big land of China too

but in this instance the 5 lakes is a metaphore for the 5 ancestors of the hung mun.
