Greetings my friends,

I have bought two books about JKD. One is Tao of jeet kune do and the second book is fighting method: Vol 1. So now I want to buy Basic training and skill in techniques, is this two books really helps?

thanks,

I am more of a street fighter, but I did buy Tao of Jeet Kune Do and I have applied some of the teachings into street fighting and it helped, so finish reading the book and it should help you very much.

there are many books but remember they outline concepts not absolutes...JKD has no absolutes as it must bend and adapt to every and any situation...dont get all wrapped up in texts and theories as they only serve to guide you...they are not rails you must ride

I think Bruce Lee's book on JKD is the greatest! It is the best book ever. It got me into kung fu - now I do my own form of JKD, which is a combo of kickboxing (from the streets), hising I and tai chi chuen. Anyway,I don't do much trad. forms - "let the mind be no mind"
