See? This is why models are suffering from bullemia and stuff.

"Can't you be thinner? Look at that girl over there... she's a size 0"

Good job, GunnedDownAtrocity...

awesome stuff GDA!

I tried doing 300 pounds on a squat machine on Friday, and my legs are still quaking. so doing 280x5 reps without falling over aftertward seems inhuman. Bravo!

interestingly enough, your video linked to this video. The Asian Squat (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWTmg4dHiKg)

thanks much guys. that fact that i havent even dawned the belt yet on this program has me stoked. this week i go for 290 x 5 (im not sure what happened to 285, but i've learned not to question the program). i havent ever seen a vid of myself before, so i was very plesently surprised with my form. i lean forward a bit more than some, but its comfortable and im not seeing any sticking points yet.

luckily i also learned just how bad my deadlift form is, but thats another story.

dont ever touch the squat machine again. ever. seriously ... if you find yourself thinking about it punch yourself in the crotch until you stop. 135 with a bar is far better than 300 on a squat/smith machine. if you need help with your form i got a video that will change your life. seriously dude ... i like you ... no more squat machines. squat machines are pro baby burning.

this is the vid:

anyone who squats, or more importantly might have to show someone how to squat, should take the time to watch this vid. well worth it.

That video is awesome.

One of the problems I have had with free squats had to do with the fact that I wasn't hitting the right posture (my back just ain't what it was last year) and the fact that I wasn't going "between" my legs. Thanks for the info! I'm gonna have to work on it some, as I'm not able to arch up quite as much as I'd like just yet, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks for the info!

thnx for your vid and the other. i just got into heavy weights after years of bodyweight / light weight exercise. i can already see some flaws in what i do and haven't even finished the vid yet. it'll help.

no problem man ... that video made me want to save up for a seminar on coaching once a year. i wish i had seen it two years ago. i eventually learned all of the same things, but the the two exercises made it much easier by forcing your body to to teach you how to lift. now if i could only find one on deadlifting to address some of my own issues ....
