Howdy

the bart jam do are probably the more common weapons of all the southern style......Wing chun ,HG,CLF,jow ga and so on even hakka style(S mantis, dragon style )

Maybe im wrong but this weapons (wu dip dao) is a very good extension of the empty hands (I mean you could use almost the same techniques with the weapons or empty hand without it)

the japenase style and SE Asia and the Fukien style used most the Sai or tTjabang....different weapons but with some similaritie.....with the wu dip dao...

Correct that the double knives are common to those styles but there are huge differences in usage among some of the styles. The "bot jom do" designatiom however AKAIK is unique to Ip Man and his wing chun..Others used other names. There are some differences in designs as well.

man you so lucky you have cinematic releases featuring your method's masters:)...i have two hours of fuzzy 8mm video from the 70's recorded on VHS like eleventeen times!.

Simple question...the Butterfly palm sets, did the idea for those forms come from playing with the butterfly knives?...i'm thinking palms could cut like those blades...
