Horrible news :(

The former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated at a political rally in Rawalpindi. She had been addressing supporters and was preparing to leave when the assassin struck.

Bhutto had just reached her car and was about to drive away, when reports say a man opened fire. Then, he blew himself up. At least 15 other people around the car died in the blast. Some reports said 20 bodies were seen. Bhutto was seriously injured in the attack; one report said she had been shot in the head.

She was rushed to Rawalpindi General Hospital and underwent emergency surgery. However, doctors said she never recovered consciousness. Her death sparked an outpouring of anger across the country, especially in her southern heartland around the city of Karachi.

Pakistan's armed forces were put on red alert to try to maintain law and order, as President Musharraf condemned her murder. She knew the risks of campaigning in Pakistan, but despite the dangers she said she was prepared to gamble all for her country. She has now succumbed to those dangers
