Here is a pic of some of my teacher's classmates from somewhere in the 1940's.

I think most of you will find the pic pretty cool. I've actually restored quite a bit of the photo, I should post the before and after to demo my photoshop skills!

1940's PIC OF KUNG-FU BROTHERS (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l212/longislandonline/scan000312.jpg) - students of Jyu Chuyhn

I got this from my si-sook (Jyu Chuyhn's son) on one of my trips to Toi-San in '06

Hope you guys dig it.

If I were you, I'd put a digital watermark on it; otherwise, it's going to show up on someone's website soon claiming they trained with these guys. :p

i've tried to set up some pics like that with my students but they always end up just looking corny

I know, right? It's funny, I went to Toi San the first time, and I'm about 5"11 (and a half!) and weighed about 235lbs. at the time. I WAS A F*CKING GIANT! I felt like I as in the land of the little people.

But I learned from my uncle that FOOD was scarce as all these guys were super-poor.

Cool pic though, huh?

That's a sad but true point.

Actually Dave is a highlander and also a time traveller. That is why his shoes are new, they were from the future. David's fashion sense is still from the 80's though. :(

And YES, I do have photographic evidence of this which I will present shortly.

The hand forms look to me like "Dragon Supports heaven and earth" But with the bong sao action on the lowered hand, it could be that as well, dtts that is.

You seem to be insinuating that this is not the case.

I regret to say, much to the dismay of the forum, that ROSS is actually in the pic from the 40's. I photoshopped in some random kung fu guys behind him.

You can stay there, and I'm sure you will find
Many ways to have a good time.
