Laam Family footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pt6vvwi5Bc)

I don't know if anyone had posted this already, I hadn't found it anywhere else. I had it in my 'secret stash'.

Enjoy. It's sweet.

Very nice Mike, nice to see the forms applications done like that.
Crisp, fast, powerful.

I have no idea. I got it around 1988. It was piggy-backed onto a demo tape which was much more recent. I would say the 60's? Judging from the fact that is was color and the apparent age of Sifu Laam. Could be early 70's, but I'd go with mid to late 60's if I was guessing.

Peace

from their build I was thinking 60's...peeps moved a bit funkier in the 70's and they let their hair loose...the 60's was still sort of square:)

Will post some tomorrow.

Glad you guys like it...I think it's cool footage. The two person sets are done fast and at an instructional pace as well.

I don't know. The reality part of me is like; 'WTF'? The old KF part of me is like 'WTF'? But the old KF part is also like; 'That just makes it look cool as sh1t!' LOL

i agree, old school eyes go "oh this is neat and nostalgic and look how crisp they are with their stuff"

new school eyes go "what's with the arm hanging supplicant un-resisting crap, how the heck are you supposed to learn anything from that soup of nonsense?"

lol.

that line in between these is where it's at, but where the heck is that line exactly? :p

Demo's are demos, I mean, some of the older judo demos were totally "WTF ?"
You need to focus NOT on what is being done per say, but on HOW it is being done.
The skill level, the balance, the speed, power and control.
Even more so when what is being demo'd is a "Literal" forms application.
