I have several questions for Tim Louie, if he ever gets on this forum. They concern his articles on Wong Fei Hung.
The first is about the three volume novel on WFH's life. Is it out of print, or still available? Has it ever been translated?
Second, are there several places claiming to be WFH's birthplace, clinic, home, etc.?
And lastly, do you believe there is information still available in WFH's family that remains oral, or is it merely the same legends going about the Hung Gar schools?
Aside from being a Hung Gar practitioner, I am a novelist, working on a series of WFH short stories for a national magazine. Finding reliable information about him has proven the most challenging research of my career.
Best,
