So it seems that the BCCMA (British Council for Chinese Martial Arts) formerly the British Kung Fu Council, whom I have been a member of for more years than I care to count has decided that only clubs/associations/groups with a minimum of thirty students may continue to be members of their illustrious organisation.
Personally I think this is shocking and elitist. I do however 'sense' a direction change towards Tai Chi and Wu Shu groups not very well hidden within their new magazine and web site.
The very pleasant personal message I got from them was "pay or leave and join another group".
So that'll be £260 a year to be a member or go away then.

100% agreement. It has been my feeling that the BCCMA has been going down the Wu Shu route for a long time and has had no real interest in TCMA. Having also recently received the same letter, I will not be continuing my membership with them.

Now is the time to set up a dedicated TCMA association - NO WU SHU !:D

there are government sponsored organizations.

but there are also civilian organizations.

there are also private organizations.

each school or club no matter the sizes may all form an association.

MA school/club is like any economic in general.

sometimes you have a lot of students, sometime you don't.
